About the artist

           Madeline (B. 2001) is an Atlanta artist who received her B.F.A in photography from Georgia State University in spring of 2026. She was the 2025/26 President of ExLucis, Georgia State University's student led photo club where she curated the club's 1st annual One Night Gallery and hosted a Zine Workshop with Atlanta Center for Photography. She has had work exhibited in the Mary S. Byrd 2022 Annual Juried Student Show, the Ernest G. Welch School of Art and Design’s 26th and 28th Annual Juried Student Exhibition, and 'Alumbrar', an ExLucis Silent Auction.

           Madeline is a photographer whose images capture singular moments holding a certain fascination she is always searching for. Her work focuses on her world's simpler moments investigating water and light, her personal relationships, and translating her emotions from mind to paper. Previously, Madeline's photography has played into her personal experiences living in Augusta and the interactions with the people and places she engaged with in the four years living there, in addition to her personal experience with the church in response to the current political climate.
